Mark Waid wrote Kingdom Come, one of the major comics’ series of the 1990’s, Superman: Birthright, which redefined the character in a way that the subsequent films and TV shows have borrowed from, and in Mark Waid's long run on The Flash Mark Waid introduced concepts (The Speed Force) and characters (Bart Allen, Savitar) that have continued to shape the comics, films and TV series.
